19 years old and depressed about red eye

I am 19 years old and have been having severe red eye for 4 months. I'm talking the whole eye is red especially in the morning it is seriously causing me to become severly depressed because I've seen a md optolmalgist for the past 2 months and have been treated for pink eye viral infectins dry eye and have even had plugs put in for my eyes he says I have chronic dry eye the scheimers test was something like 8 in one eye and 10 in the other. The plugs and drops have not helped at all. I have been wearing contacts since 12 so for the past 7 years with no problems. I wear the osasis lenses witch seem really big on my eye. I havnt worn my contacts for the past 4 months becuase of these problems but 3 times each time I do they don't bother me to much while in but once I take them out my eyes will begin to get red I mean red red I won't even leave my house I'll miss collee classes bc of this. Any ideas
