2 different size eyes

2 different size eyes

My son who is 9 months-old has one Iris bigger than the other.  On the same side of the smaller eye, he also has a ptosis (droopy eyelid).  Could the differences in iris sizes affect his vision? Should I have him see a pediatric opthamoligist to test his vision?

It is extremely important to get you son in to an Eye MD and if possible a Pediatric Eye MD ophthalmologist. Find one at www.aao.org or ask you pediatrician to refer you. Different eye size and/or ptosis are postential signs of significant eye disease.
