4 Punctal Plugs - lots of tears now
Hi,
I had bottom plugs put in 6 wks ago, they helped but there was still some dryness and I was getting fed up with putting drops in 4 times a day...went back to opthamologist yesterday and he put them in the upper ducts as well. Yesterday and today I have been having to wipe tears away, is this normal for the first little while? If so, how long should I give my eyes to get used to these upper plugs as well?
Another question: if all 4 of my tear ducts are plugged now, then where are my tears going to?

How is the dryness with all four plugs? Are you more comfortable? The moment they closed my uppers after my lowers didn't help, I got immediate relief. Yes, I have tears that overflow a few times a day but that is a small price to pay for eye comfort.
