4 yr. old w/ dilated eyes

Over the past couple months I have noticed that my 4 year old son has constant bilateral eye dilation.  He doesn't complain of any pain, or headaches.  Occasionally he complains of what I believe to be "floaters".  I have noticed that his pupils will constrict if I use a pen light directly on them, but then go back to very dilated when the light is removed.  I want to take him to the eye doctor but kind of want a heads up on any possibilities of what might be causing this first.  Any suggestions?????

As long as they're the same size and react to light and focus and you notice no other problems its not likely its a problem. Some people just have large pupils I have a cousin that had dime size pupils when we're kids. Puplis are small in infants get bigger as we get older start getting smaller in our 30s and are very small in old age.
