6 week old with dilated right pupil

by sydver, Dec 04, 2007 08:48AM
My six week old's right pupil is slightly larger than the left one. Both pupils change size when exposed to light changes, but the right one is always larger than the other. It's really concerning/scaring me!

Should I contact his Pediatrician or go straight to a Pediatric Optometrist?

Thank you,

Veronica

I suggest you consult your pediatrician and then get referral to see a pediatric ophthalmologist.  Hopefully it is nothing serious - but it is well worth having an evaluation by an expert.
