6th Nerve palsy

I am Ilango from India. Due to a traumatic head injury 5 months ago by motor vehicle accident, I have double vision from the day of accident till now as my left eye does not abduct. I had sub arachnoid hemorrhage(SAH) over left high parietal region and along sylvian fissure. CAT after 4 days of accident showed no hemorrhage. MRI after 2 months showed complete resolution of SAH and non-hemorrhagic contusion in left parietal cortex. Eye doctor and neurologist say that this is due to left 6th nerve palsy. Now almost 5 and half months over but still find no improvement. My left eye come very close to the mid line but not beyond it. As per doctor's advice I have been taking tablet 'renerve plus' which is Vitamin B supplement with methycobolamine. So please advice me the course of treatment to be taken for the early and fast nerve recovery.

Dear Dr. Oyakawa,
Thank you for your suggestion which is the last option. The surgery has lots of uncertainties regarding success rate in bringing the eyes to normal functional state with full binocular vision. So I wanted to know ways by which assessment of the damaged nerve can be done. Also medication or by exercises by which nerve repair and muscle toning can be achieved.
Regards,
Ilangovan
