8 yr old with optic nerve cupping and strabimus

My daughter had a follow up eye appt. She does wear glasses already and she has had surgery for bilateral strabismus as a baby. The Dr said she has optic nerve cupping no and want's to take a test to check for glaucoma. There is a history of glaucoma in my mom and grandfather. I am freaking out. Is my child going to go blind?

Thank you for your comment. He did mention that she doesn't have pressure and that is good. I don't quite understand that.

Get a second opinion.  Cupping is a vague term.  It is like saying you child is tall or short or heavy.  A number is needed.
