A Problem With Eye Floaters at Fourteen

by Hulabanana, May 09, 2008 11:05AM
Lately i have been experiencing floaters, it started out at just a couple and i went to the opticians just to gfet it checked because my eyes were getting sensitive to light, they said there was nothing wrong, so i came away. After about a week they seem to have increased alot in number, and if i squint at my window i can see showers of them until i unsquint my eyes this worried me a great deal and my eyes sometimes get a bit blurry so i went back to the same one and they told me there was nothing wrong. It is really bothering me now as i keep getting headaches when on the computer or tv or looking out the window, i am worried it could be serious as my mum keeps telling me to ignore them but its very hard when there are so many.

Please can i have some advice as i am very worried and every seems to think theres nothing wrong.

Get your mum to take you to a proper specialist (ophthalmologist). Your floaters do not sound like the common type.
