About Progressive Myopia

Hi to all from INDIA....
I am Anni from India and have researching on Progressive myopia and its effects since a couple of weeks....
I am 27and have a perfect 20/20 vision ....I am about to get married to guy who has progressive myopia.He has a thin cornea and recent retina tests have detected a slight stretch in the retina of his right eye...His vision is
OD:20/60 OS:20/40.
Diagnosis :
Current problem list:
36021 Dsrd Globe Prog High Myopia
37021 Punctate Keratitis
He has been using lens since last 10 years.His left eye is 18D and right eye is 19D
Dear Sir I am really worried about our future if we get married.Will he become visually challenged or how can we treat this progressive myopia.The Doc has suggested him for ICL implants.
Are there any complications regarding ICL implants.Is progressive myopia hereditary?
Doc can you please guide me with the above..

ICL will help in the short term.  However, it will not stop progressive myopia.  A posterior sling of the eye may help.  Very few doctor do this procedure.

There is a change that your children will suffer from myopia.
