Adult Strabismus (after surgery)

Hi, I am 30 and I have exotropia. I had muscle surgery in 2003 for restoration of Binocular Vision. After surgery the doctor prescribed me eyeglasses with prisms because I had headaches when reading, watching tv and driving. I used prisms until July 2006. On September 2006 I did vision therapy because I could not watching tv or driving (I sleeped after a while). On December 2006 I repeated the vision therapy and I stilled well until April 2007. On April 2007 I was very well, I hadn't symptons but the doctor prescribed me more vision therapy. After that I'm very bad again. Another doctor said me that now it wasn't possible to eliminate the effects of april's vision therapy on my brain. I have to wait but I still with problems on PC and TV. What can I do?
Sorry my english!

Regards,
Helena

Generally "vision therapy" is done by non-physician, limited eye care providers (optometrists) and is not based on evidence based medicine. You may need to be re-evaluated by the eye surgeon that did your surgery. Or you might get a fresh look at your problem by seeing a Strabismus Eye Surgeon (these are generally also called Pediatric Ophthalmologists since most eye problems occur in kids).
