Alignment Problem, Additional Question

by Index, Apr 05, 2008 07:57PM
The question above revolves around the eye coming out of focus when he looks (right?) in a certian direction.  Well i've scoured the internet for this same problem and finally found SOMETHING similar to this.  With a few slightly different things attached to it.

When I look down, my right eye seems to wander just a slight bit (my girlfriend can't figure out if the eyelid or the eye is moving, over and over she cant see anything) and I go double vision.  This sounds pretty similar to the question above.  There is one strange thing with my situation, 30 minutes after I get home from work ~ every night since this has started ~ the problem goes away.  It will then start just ever so slightly during sleep at night and it will be back in the morning, but not as bad as it usually is during the day.

I head into work where the problem is really bad, it almost happens when im looking straight ahead, and doubles my vision when I look down badly.

The causes above, honestly nothing like that has happened to me.  I got the stomach flu this year, that's about it.  I saw an eye doctor and he said to come back in a few weeks if it continues he'd send me to a specialist.  I'm not taking his advice and going to my primary care tuesday because I trust him a little more then this random eye doc.

I'm mostly just curious if the problem that's mentioned above with misalignment can come and go, or if maybe i've got the wrong problem here.

I suppose if the problem can be intermittant at different times of day then I think this might finally be what's happening to me, if not it's back to the drawing board.

Eye misalignment is called strabismus. You need to see an Eye MD ophthalmologist that specializes in strabismus.
