Almost Blind in One Eye - Vitreous Detachment?

Almost Blind in One Eye - Vitreous Detachment?

So I started to get weird coloured dots in my peripheral Vision which slowly turned to an opaque cloud which have covered around 75% of my vision in my right eye. I've seen two specialists who have ruled out retina detachment and who say its quite big chunks of vitreous that are obstructing my vision. This is slowly getting worse and doesn't seem to correlate with what anything on VD says symptoms wise. Should I trust these specialists? I'm petrified this vision loss is permanent :(

"Specialists" is way to vague. Some people say they've seen an eye specialist when they go in to Walmarts or Sears for glasses exam with a chain optometrist in the UK their family GP or a non physician optometrist (Optician).

You should see a retina Eye MD ophthalmologist and a Eye MD neuroophthalmologist before you stop searching.

I see you live in the UK. Many posters state it take many many months to arrange these types of consults and in some cases the 'system' denies this type of consultation.

Good luck
