Amblyopia operation success

Dear doctor
,In an age of 12,my left eye was hit by a rock during playing and I lost my vision left eye fully.Also it gave me exotropia .I did eye operation to straight the defected eye in an age of 15 but it was unsuccessful since eye came back to its outer position after a short month...now I am again looking for other eye operation to come out over the problem of social unstability.IS THERE ANY HOPE FOR ME TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?doctor told me that eye will again comes back after operation because it is a matter of brain.Have there is other treatment for amblyopia(adult)? I will be thankful to your valuable advice.

This is not truly amblyopia, or lazy eye, in which an otherwise anatomically normal eye does not see well.  You have a blind left eye, which will tend to drift over time.  Muscle surgery to straighten the eye can be done, leaving the left eye slightly in (esotropic), so that it does not go back out as far as before.  The surgery should be done by someone very experienced in eye muscle surgery, and can be done with a technique called an adjustable suture, to try to fine-tune the result the same or the next day.
