Amblyopia treatment in old age patients

by AlokAKADexter, May 23, 2008 05:34PM
My 28 yrs old sister has amblyopia in her left eye.
Recently I learnt that amblyopia treatment in old age patients is possible with Neuro-Vision therapy.
Can you provide light on - How this therapy works and how much it is effective?
Also Is this treatment is available in India or not?

Thanks & Regards.

Most of the ophthalmology profession world wide feel that this neuro-vision therapy is too experimental to recommend it. Wait till more is know about the benefits and risks of therapy.

MORE COMMENTS:  Most of this type of "treatment" is done by non-MD, non-Physician, optometrists and its expensive, unproven to help and a major profit center for them.
