And finally, it came out to be Dry eyes

This is in continution of my previous posts on 28th Sept and 1st Oct with title of "Bilateral monocular diplopia".
Fortunately, after a long long journey, one of my Ophthalmologist reached to the diagnosis. It came out to be Xerophthalmia secondary to Mebomianitis. Corneal topography and abberometery was performed, Schirmer's test results wre ZERO in both eyes. He reassured me about prognosis and started treatment accordingly- Eye protection, artificial tear drops, Restasis drops, Doxycyclin oral & Erythromycin. It gave me a drammatic and unbelievable improvement from the very first day and GHOSTING was gone by almost 95%....!!!!!...But unfortunately, before I could celebrate it, after 4th day, problem gradually re-appeared. I met my ophthalmogist again and surprisingly, repeat topograhy was showing obvious improvement...!!!!!!....He asked me to continue the treatment and told that another options are "Growth factors" and "something which will be made by my serum".....I am very thankful and totally rely on my ophthalmologist, but please share your views and opinions with me in this case.....

While I have no personal experience with using autologous serum for treating surface eye problems I have read about them in the medical journal and also had a couple of patients that I referred to a corneal surgeon that were helped by it. Worth a try and not especially risky or painful.

Glad you have a proper diagnosis. Might also discuss permanent tear plugs in at least the lower tear duct openings.
