Anisocoria Question

Anisocoria Question

About three months ago I noticed the pupil in my right eye is larger than the pupil in the left eye.  I went to an ophthamologist who diagnosed it as anisocoria after the exam and CT scan showed nothing.  The pupil in my right eye is always larger than the left and does not react to light.  My right eye is blurry all the time and I often see things in 3-D (I don't know how else to describe it - it's as if some words on a flat page are in the foreground and some are in the background).  I saw an urgent care doctor recently for a separate issue and she immediately noticed my eyes and told me I should follow up with a neurologist, even though the CT scan was negative.  My question is, could there still be something going on (other than basic anisocoria) if the CT scan was normal?

Thanks for your help!

Tina

My suggestion would be to see a neuroophthalmologist. Take in some old old photographs full face that shows your pupil size 10 to 15 years ago.

The most common cause of your symptoms would be Addie's tonic pupil. You can use the search feature to read about it.
