Anisocoria and driving at night

Hi,
After a car accident 20 years ago, facial nerve damage which seems to have included my right eye, my pupil will dilate even in light and give me 'halo's', double/blurred vision and has restricted me driving at night. I am desperate to find a way to be able to drive at night and I wonder if wearing an eye patch would help? Are there any other things that you can suggest to help me?
I am at risk of losing my job.
Thanks
Lollyreed

The 7th (Facial) cranial nerve has no role in making the pupil larger or smaller or moving the eye. So you would have to have a problem in addition to the 7th n paresis. (weakness). I suggest you see a neuro-ophthalmologist  sometimes Alphagan P will prevent this or very weak pilocarpine.
