Anisocoria in Children

My daughter is 6 months old was just diagnosed by her pediatrician with Anisocria. It appears that it is her right eye and the pupil stays  larger then the left eye in bright light. My pediatrician said that in 15yrs she has never seen it in a child. Is this really as rare as she makes it sound and should I take her to a pediatric opthamologist or would a regular opthamologist be fine? Should I be concerned that there is a medical issue here?

It can occur in a child.  Usually it is a normal variant.  You should get a referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist.
