Antidepressants and Eye Problems

Hi,

I have been on antidepressants for 20 years and my vision has definitely
gotten worse.  My eye doctor says I am considered a 'glaucoma
suspect' but I am not on any eyedrops as of yet.  I am concerned about
all the info I am reading online about antidepressants and glaucoma
and vision problems.  Should I try to come off the antidepressants and
if I am successful, will be vision improve any?  Thank you so much for
your help.

Dear starr363,

I would speak with your eyeMD about the reason for your reduced vision.  Is it the glaucoma or do you have another condition? This will help guide you and your doctor in the best treatment option.
