Any hopes of vision restoration with PHPV?

Any hopes of vision restoration with PHPV?

I was diagnosed with a congenital cataract and PHPV at birth and never have had vision in my left eye.  At 17 years old I underwent muscle surgery to align my eyes and at 24 years old a vitrectomy to remove the white cataract.  Now at 29 I am noticing my eyes are misaligned again.  I am up for another muscle surgery but was curious if there are any medical advances made to restore vision for PHPV/congenital cataract patients?!!

Thank you.

It is highly unlikely that anything is available to improve your vision given your past history. You need to ask this for certain of your ophthalmologists.  Because eyes with poor vision don't "fuse" with the other eye it is common for the eye to drift in or out in the years following strabismus surgery.
