Are circle lenses safe?

I've heard of these websites like lenscircle.com that sell these things called circle lenses. Basically they are contact lenses that change your eye color and they come in all these really cool bright and fun colors. I really want to try them but I'm worried that they're not safe. I'm just worried cause I've never used eye contacts before! I do know how to touch my eye though (not that touching my eye is a good thing but I do it whenever makeup or something gets in my eye!) I really want to try the contact lenses though! I would be very careful about them and I wouldn't wear them everyday either. Just for special occasions and dances. I just want to know if you can go blind or get other severe eye problems. Thank you!

Yes they are dangerous.  We see people go blind from corneal ulcers too frequently from wearing these without proper training or cleaning techniques.  They are illegal to sell in many states without a doctor's perscription.  If you are really interested in them, go to an eye doctor who prescribes these and get measured and fitted for the correct size and get trained on how to use and clean them.  Do not use them unless you are under the care of an eye doctor.

Yes.  You need to see a local contact lens specialist who could perscribe them.

Thank you a lot for answering my question! You see I was really worried. Well it kinda ***** that I can't wear them now...but hey! It sure beats going blind! But I was just curious if there was a brand of SAFE contact lenses that aren't circle lenses, but can just simply change your eye color? Thank you!
