You biggest question should be "what do I have to keep my good eye healthy all my life" rather than what can be done for the lazy eye.

Amblyopia or lazy eye is, in almost all instances, not treatable at your age.

Now you need to get in to see an ophthalmologist for a proper diagnosis and assessment of your problem. You need an annual eye examination.

You need to wear proper eye sports protection for any sports your participate in and you should consider wearing impact resistant glasses all other times.

To keep you eye healthy: don't smoke, drink in moderation, eat a good diet, take a multi-vitamin, protect your eyes from sunlight (hat and sunglesses) and avoid acitivies that have potential for eye injury (power tools, firecrackers, firearms, weed eaters, etc).

If you have children or nieces and nephews the chance of them having amblyopia is about 20%. Be sure everyone related to you by blood having children has them checked by a pediatric ophthalmolgoist between ages 2 and 3. Amblyopia detected early enough (before age 5) can usually be treated and the vision improved.

Call and Eye Physician as soon as you can.
