Astigmatism Treatment

My recent eye exam results came out as: Sph -1.5 for both eyes, cylinder -0.5 for both eyes, axis - right: 48 and left: 125. The optometrist told me I have astigmatism which I didn't know before. I am concerned that astigmatsim will progress and my vision will get worse as I age. Is there a way I can treat my astigmatism? Should I check with lasik/laser eye sergeon or eye doctor (MD) or talk with the optometrist first?

Astigmatism is not a disease, it means your corneas are a little non-sperical. You have next to none. Don't sweat it.
