Asymetrical swelling of lower eye lid

I have been experiencing swelling of my lower eye lids, particularly my right eye. This symptom has been coming and going for several years, but has become much more pronounced in the last several months. In addition to the swelling of the lower eye lid, I feel a slight pressure and burning sensation in both eyes. I have tried over the counter anti allergy medicine and anti-histamine medicine to no avail. I also do not have any other allergy symptoms.
