Axis change affect on glasses

I recently had an eye exam and got new glasses.  The glasses are not as clear as I think they need to be, or as good as my old glasses.  I have been using plastic progreggive lens before and this time I got Varilux Physio Polycarbonate.  My new prescription has a different axis than I have previously had.  I'm not sure if the problem I'm noticing is due to the polycarbonate lens or the different prescription.  I have been happy with my previous glasses.
My new prescription is;
OD. Sphere +2.50     Cylinder -0.50      Axis 150
OS  Sphere  +2.25    Cylinder -0.50      Axis 030

My previous exam had the following result

OD .   Sphere +2.25     Cylinder -0.25  Axis 104
OS     Sphere +2.00     Cylinder -0.25  Axis 090

Thanks for your help

If you're measuring your height and it changes 1/16 of an inch is that a very big number? The change is small since the AMOUNT of astigmatism is small.  In any case you've tried the new ones and don't like it. You don't want to end up with expensive new glasses that you don't like and can't wear.

Thanks for answering.  The axis changed from 104 to 150 OD, and 090 to 030 OS.  Would this change not cause any difference in the glasses?  Thanks

There is very little difference between those two glasses. Consider asking for your money back and staying with your old glasses OR ask without charge to you that the new glasses be redone going back to the old lens material and the old RX except for the new higher reading power (+2.50)

Unless you got your glasses under an already discounted visual care program in the USA the first change if necessary within 30 days of purchase is generally free of charge.
