Baby- Poked eye

My five month old daughter poked herself in the eye about 5 hours ago. She was fine until a little while ago, but she is pretty restless now, probably because she is way past her bed time now.

Her eye has a red blotch on it- it's been there for the last 4 hours or so, and her eye does not seem to be watering abnormally. Her vision also seems to be fine, from what I can make out.

Do I need to take her to the ER right away?

Call your pediatrician and he may prescribe a gentle antibiotic ointment.  Babies heal incredibly well so I suspect she will do well.  Please call your doctor.
