Bacterial conjunctivitis or Dry eye?

A couple of weeks ago i was diagnosed with bacterial conjunctivitis. After a week of using the prescribed eye drops (Vigamox, Lotemax, Tobradex) it went away. The optometrist said the bacteria was gone and so I started wearing contacts after a day's rest. Within a day of getting off the medicated drops, there was a pink blur in my left eye. I continued using the medication thinking it was pink eye again. It worked for a week but now my eye is quite veiny.

The doctor also had said that my eyes were very dry. Could this be the dryness that's making my eyes veiny?

I've made an appointment to see the optometrist again, but it's not till another two weeks. I would like to have some sort of idea (and perhaps remedies I can do now).

Thank you!

What do you mean the combination of medications doesn't make sense?

1. you may want to see a real MD physician ophthalmologist instead of a non-MD optometrist.
2. If you have dry eyes you may need to stop wearing your contacts and return to glasses or consider refractive surgery.
3. That combination of medications you were treated with doesn't make much sense.
