Behcet's and severe flares despite strong meds

My BD has been maintained by Humira 40Mg weekly and Imuran 200Mg daily for over a year. Prior to that Humira was bi-weekly for about 8 months and Enbrel was used for about 8 months prior to it. All in combination with Imuran 150Mg or 200Mg.  During this time I have had uveitis (lasted for about 4 months) followed by gastritis (8 months), followed by strep throat leading to chronic tonsilitis and re-occuring bronchitis flares for 6 months that triggered asthma and now back to uveitis... Additional meds have been added to treat this, Pred Forte and Prednisone taper (uveitis), Prilosec and various other pump blockers (gastritis),  20days amoxicillin (strep) 10 weeks on amoxicillin (bronchitis), singulair and dulera for asthma. These are just symptoms added to my daily BD symptoms of joint, connective tissue inflammation, various GI symptoms, extreme fatigue, memory and coordination difficulties, night sweats, ulcers, headaches and low grade fevers. My question is, my BD is getting worse does that mean the meds are no longer effective? I have been told that there is not much else to use treating my symptoms. Please help.

FIrst of all I have not managed enough BD to speak from experience. However your question is universal across the entire spectra of human disease.

The failure of BD to respond may be due to:  the disease has gotten worse, the medications are not as effective as when you started, the dosage may need adjustment, there could be interactions with other medications, food, supplements, fluids that inactivate or reduce the effectiveness of the disease, you may have developed other diseases, the disease you have may not be BD, some patients don't take their medications or don't take them properly, some disease grow worse as the person ages and has had the disease longer, you may not be on the right medications.

These and other variables prevent giving a "yes" or "no" answer. Discuss with your MD team.
