Black Floaters

Hi, I'm 16 and I went to the neurologist on Feb 11 due to headaches. I pointed out how I also had black floaters, but he said they were normal and to ignore them... However, it seems my black floaters have increased and its like i would sometimes see a tiny dark, dark *blackish dot or two with the black floaters. Plus,  most of the times I would see white tiny dots that move even quicker... or drift differently than the black floaters... Any suggestions and medical terms that I could call these things..? Without an examination, you probs don't know what it is, but do you have any idea why I have it.?

thanks in advance.

Dear sweetbwio,

I would definitely recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD. A sudden change in the number of floaters, flashing lights with your eyes closed or a curtain or shadow may indicate a serious problem known as a retinal detachment.  Without an examination, it is impossible to determine whether what you have is only floaters or a more serious issue.

I did a visual field test and the white backgroung turned black with a halo around the center of black and yellow dot that is in the middle what does that mean? I repeated the test weeks later and had the same result.
