There are many things that can cause black spots that block the vision. Some are very serious, some not so. However it is very important to see an eye MD ophthalmologist as soon as possible especially if the black spot is big, doesn't move and keeps you from reading with the eye.

Go to www.aao.org and find an Eye MD near you and see him/her tomorrow. Ask for an emergency exam
