Black eye veins

Should eye veins start out red at the beginning, and black at the end? If not, what does that mean?

Dear  crystalrae,

It is important for you to seek the care of an eyeMD to determine what you notice.

I've gotta be honest with you.  I really don't understand what you are talking about exactly.  If you have abnormal eye redness, eye discomfort or pain, discharge, blurred vision then you need to see an ophthalmologist.  My best answer is that sometimes vessels can look a little different depending on whether they are on the sclera, upisclera, or conjuctiva and some vessels are in the deeper layers near the sclera and even go into the sclera and may have a different, or darker appearance where they enter the sclera.
