Bleeding after Baerveldt implant

Bleeding after Baerveldt implant

I had Baerveldt implant surgery 16 days ago.  Three days after surgery, I started bleeding a drop of blood a couple times a day.  At my five day checkup, the doctor said everything looks fine, and that the bleeding wasn't anything to worry about. 30 minutes after leaving, it bled for 5 minutes.  We went back to the doctor, who examined me again.  He couldn't find the source of the bleeding, but said not to worry after determining I don't have any eye pain and the vision hasn't changed any.  In the last 5 days, I've been bleeding more often and in larger amounts.  It was still a couple times a day, but would last of 5-10 minutes.  It looked like a nose bleed.  Two days ago, right as I was leaving work, I started to bleed, for what seemed like 10-15 minutes.  My wife took me back to the hospital.  The doctors there weren't able to determine where the bleeding was coming from.  While they were examining me, I started bleeding again.  They believe it's coming from this one stitch where the conjunctiva is covering the implant.  The doctors basically said this was an annoyance issue, and the bleeding would eventually stop.  The also said if it became over whelming, they would try and cauterize it.  It sounded like they didn't really want to do it, maybe because they couldn't pinpoint the source of the bleeding.  I was told that this happens to some individuals that have this surgery, and that the bleeding will eventually stop.  My stitches are dissolving.  Is this something I need to get cauterized or just wait it out.  I was taking two fish oil pills a day, but stopped 3 days ago after reading that it can act as a blood thinner.
