Blocked tear duct and Stones
For three months now on and off I have had a blocked left tear duct.  It has also affected my sinuses as well.

The eye specialist thinks I may have stones in my tear ducts that are blocking the tear duct.  He recommend surgery.

Is there anything that I can do to try to clear the tear duct or break up these possible stones.

On rare occassion its possible to irrigate or probe the stones through the tube an into the nose. This surgery is difficult and unusual. I would suggest you see a Eye MD that specializes in occuloplastic surgery. The average Eye MD does little of this type of surgery. In the USA find one at www.aao.org
