Blood behind the eye

by Nandz, Mar 18, 2009 06:00AM
MY granmother woke up not being able to see properly threw her right eye. The way she explained it that it was if something was covering her eye, foggy and dull. She went to the doctor and they told her that it is due to blood behind the eye. They also said that her eye would never be able to see properly again. Is there some way of working around this, should we get a second opition?

There are many cause of blood in the back of the eye such as a vein occlusion or wet macular degeneration.  Treatment depends on cause.  There is treatment for wet age related macular degeneration and mild vein occlusion.
