Bluish Discoloration of Sclerae

I have Lupus. I am 43 years old. I have a bluish discoloration of my sclerae. Could this be from taking plaquenil? Thank you.

No its not due to plaquenil.  It may be what called a "scleral plaque" which is a thinning of the sclera usually due to age. IF there is severe pain see an Eye MD ophthalmologist to be sure you do not have scleritis which can occur with lupus.  Since lupus can affect the eye you should be under the care of an Eye MD ophthalmologist. If not ask your MD or Rheumatologist to refer you.
