Blurred Vision / Dull Pain

Hello Doctor,

I am 41 yrs.

Almost an year ago i started with itchy eyes (perhaps due to exposure to air flow within old car).  Few months later
i started to have some sought of dull pain once in a while in both eye (the eyes would still get itchy when i would
rub them specially the end part).

Now since 2 months my left eye is seeing blurred (both near and far objects). It tends to improve if I relax.
The blurred vision happens only with left eye and that too after looking at computer screen for a while.
The pain frequency has also increased compared to earlier period i.e. happens more frequently.

I had seen an ophthalmologist (who considering my family history of glaucoma) suggested that I should undergo
Iridotomy (as preventive measure for glaucoma).

Nothing was explained to me about the cause of blurred vision so far.

I would like to know if the Iridotomy would cure the blurred eye ( or else what is cause and remedy for blurred
vision).

Please do let me know your valued opinion and suggestions

Thank you.

Dear adil910,

It is possible that the iridotomy might help the blurred vision.  Iridotomies are usually done to prevent an attack of narrow angle glaucoma.

Hi,

You can try to get more supplement of lutein. Lutein is good for eyes and can help to improve. I have watery eyes too but i have taking supplement of lutein and I didn't face anymore problem with my eyes. You can check on wikipedia to know more about lutein. I believe your problem will be solved. Take care.
