Blurred vision and stye?

I've had a stye recently on the underside of my upper left eyelid.  I applied hot compresses, and now it's gone except for a slight redness under the lid.  However, I still have blurred vision in that eye.  I had no problems in that eye previously, and in fact had just had a perfect eye exam a couple of months before.  Since the blurred vision happened at the same time as the stye, I'm assuming it's related, but shouldn't the blurred vision have gone away with the swelling?  Or this does the vision commonly take longer to clear up?

Thanks.

Styes especially ones that are getting better do not blur vision. Suggest you see your ophthalmologist (or a ophthalmologist) to evaluate. Do not attribute this to stye. Find an Eye MD near you at www.aao.org
