Boston Keratoprosthesis

I've had 3 failed keratoplasties over a period of about 55 years (I'm 70 now). I'm seeing a ophthalmologist at Duke and am contemplating a Boston Keratoprosthesis.  Has anyone had experience with this.  How comfortable are you after the surgery and months later.  I know vision varies from person to person depending on the health of the eye.  Just want to hear from others who have had this surrgery.  Thanks!

Thank you for responding.  It will be interesting to see if anyone has a comment to make as only a few thousand people have had this surgery.
