Bright light when blink in of grey spot caused by wrinkle

Dear Doctor,
I have a wrinkle on the retina (right eye), accompanied by the usual grey spot and distortion in visual field.  Doctors monitor this and I have an appointment in July. Lately, and only ONCE IN A WHILE, I notice a bright spot of light in the grey spot, only as I blink. It lasts less than 1 second and is visible mostly on a computer screen or in sunlight. I, also have a tiny flickering line of light that comes and goes in both eyes. It begins with eyes  open and can see when closed, then it fades away.  For years I've noticed a yellowish stain, in both eyes, that shows up on a white background. The doctors cannot expalin it. My cataracts have been removed.  Could the lights be due to the zillions of floaters, flashers, which I've had for years, or due to the wrinkle?  Thank you for your response.

Dear MARY1939,

It is difficult to assess the cause of your bright spots of light.  It sounds as if you may have a few issues and sorting them out will require further questioning and examination.
