Bright lights and LED's are starbursting

My optic nerves were swollen a few months back due to IIH so I've been taking diamox to get the swelling down - which it has done.  But now when I see reflected sunlight it appears too bright (like a magnesium flare) and is in a starburst pattern - ciliary corona with lenticular halo to be specific (see http://visionsimulations.com or Figure 4 from www.iovs.org/cgi/reprint/46/7/2627.pdf for examples).  LED lights (on stereos and almost all electronic equipment) also starburst and are blurry.  Night time is the worst with car brake lights bursting along with traffic signals and on-coming headlights...not to mention halo's around streetlamps.

I've seen Retina specialists who tell me my retina is unremarkable (good).  I've had coreal specialists tell me the same (no Fuchs or similar syndrome).  My corneal topography was OK.  It seemsI have similar symptoms to LASIK complications WITHOUT having the surgery.  I have seen a neuro-op who has tried me on several medications (Lyrica, Neurontin - none worked.  I am currently seeking a second opinion from another local neuro-op (listed on www.aao.org).

I am slightly hyperopic/presbyopic with a small amount of astigmatism in both eyes.  I don't really need glasses except to read really small text.

Has ANYONE had similar symptoms?  I am only 39 years old and this happened almost over night.

Does this sound cornea related?  The reason I ask is that it seem LASIK patients are the only people who share these symptoms with me.  I've had top cornea docs here in Dallas do visual inspections along with topography and wavefronts.  They say my results are normal.  I've had an RGP specialist tell me my abberations where mildly above average.  Are there cornea issues that require microscopy to detect?  Similarily are there lens issues that require microscopy to detect?
