Bruised Retina

I was hit in the eye by a rugby union ball 9 years ago and from the impact it resulted in immediate loss of vision. the specialist said that i had a bruised retina and i now only have 5 - 10% vision  left and its only peripheral vision.  The Specialist said my condition was permanent. i was curious as to whether there had been a cure of some sort yet or anything to try and restore vision.

1. Get a second oinion. If it agrees with the one you just stated then likely beyound help.
2. Concentrate on protecting the good eye from disease and injury. See an Eye MD yearly, live a healthy lifestyle and wear glasses all waking hours for protection.
