Bump on white of Eye

My wife has this tiny white bump on the white of her left eye. What is the cause and what is the treatment for this?

Causes numerous.  Treatment dependent upon cause.  See an Eye MD for an evaluation.  You can find one near you at www.aao.org.

Dear fess72,

I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD to determine the diagnosis.  Bumps on the conjunctiva may represent degenerations associated with sun and/or wind exposure such as pinguecula or ptergyia; however, other etiology include cysts, nodules, etc.
