My daughter is diagnosed with cone dystrophy after the ERG report.
She is also attracted to lights. She has a habit of sun(light) staring.
I have taken the opinion from other pediatric neuroopthomologist on email.
Doctor is of the opinion that "CONE DYSTROPHY AND LIGHT STARING ARE CONTRADICTORY. THEY USUALLY HAVE PHOTOPHOBIA. LIGHT GAZING IS ASSOCIATED WITH OPTIC NERVE DYSFUNCTION / CEREBRAL VISION IMPAIRMENT AND LEBER’S AMAUROSIS. MORE DETAILED ASSESSMENT OF THE CHILD IS NECESSARY TO CONFIRM THE DISORDER. ERG NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED MORE CRITICALLY."
Plesae help me in this matter. And i also want ehe ERG report to be enclosed for your perusal. Please send me your email address.
1. We are not allowed to review tests like ERG, OCT, visual fields, etc by the MedHelp.com rules. Too much legal liability.
2. Get a second opinion by a pediatric ophthalmologist. That is all I can say.
