CRT and red eye

My son started to wear CRT lenses one month ago. He has no problem with the lenses in the evening, and enjoys 20/20 vision during the day. The only thing concerns me is I noticed some redness in both of his eyes.  Typically it's worse in the late afternoon and evening. After putting in eye allergy drops, the redness is all gone.  I was worried about abnormal blood vessel growth in the cornea caused by not enough oxygen during the overnight sleep with the CRT lenses, but the doctor didn't think that's the case. We tried different solutions, but didn't seem to make difference. Other than that, everything seems to be normal, my son doesn't feel any pain or discomfort in the eye and the vision is good. Should I be worried?

Thanks!

yes redness indicates that the lenses are irritating the cornea and the causes can be poor fit, insufficient oxygen, mechanical damage, dry eyes, etc.
