Can Crystal lens be removed

My husband had a crystal len put in his left eye on Nov.26th 2007 and has not been able to see well at all infact his vision got worse. Hes seen retina specialist twice also a Eye nerve Dr. and there was no swelling and all told him everything looked good. The Dr. that did the surgery just recently told him that there was a very small wrinkle in the lens and it did look a little hazy, but still wants him to wait another month. Our question is if they have to remove the lens will the standard lens work?

Thanks MH

There can be complications with any implant exchange but standard monofocal IOLs are often put in the eye if a person cannot adjust to multifocal IOL

We dont think the Dr. wants to do an exchange and didnt know if it was done very often. Knowing that they are done makes us feel a little better.
