Can HEAVY computer use lead to eye pain?

Hello.

I recently started having severe pain in both eyes. The pain feels deep inside each eye and it's quite severe. Yesterday it got better toward the late evening, but when I got up in the morning it started again and continues this whole day. I started having it while playing a video game and it hasn't been going away all this time.

I use the PC 8-11 hours a day on average, and the video game I'm playing requires reading many lines of text which are floating by with a very high speed.

I also wish to add that I have been having headaches and panic attacks for 11 years since I was 13, but I NEVER had eye pain for more than 5-10min. It was usually more like tired feeling in the eyes rather than actual pain.

I saw someone saying in a forum that computers "usually" don't cause eye pain. "Usually" doesn't cut it. The question is : Can they cause pain or not? And if they can just what is it that is happening to the eyes in this case and can I do something to feel better aside from turning the PC off and taking a pain killer? Any eye exercises? Any other things I can do?

This new symptom worries me, and I cannot see a doctor right now, so I decided to ask. Please help.

I just posted a similar post on my case. After heavy use of computers, I had severe burning eyes and now I have a light sensitivity and my left eye feel numb in its back. Stop heavy computing right now before it is too late. That's all I can say.

I don't think computer use can lead to such severe eye pain. It is porbably a symptom of something else and is really worth getting checked. I use a pc all day and my eyes are really tired but I have never had such eye pain (or heard of anyone else having such pain).
good luck
