Can a concussion creat Entoptic Phenomena?

I have been sleeping with a light on for many years, and had gotten a loft bed last year and was still sleeping with the main room light on, which is 4 light bulbs on my ceiling fan, in February, I had started seeing like an after image of my veins, it was the same image, and had been improving. but would appear if i strained my neck. but i am reading that neck strains cannot really affect optic nerves.

Last month I hit my head up near the top of my head, pretty much scalped myself with my loft bed, is all i can describe it as. I had been doing ok. still saw the after image occasionally. it's been 4 weeks and my headache had gone away but the neck pain was there and strained my neck, and saw the after image.

I decided that same night to stop sleeping with the light on and the after image went away and has not returned. but the next day a new issue begun the same time as i started sleeping in the dark. When I wake up or close my eyes for a long time, I can see the veins in my eyes, it's quickly goes away and i can see normal. this only started when i started sleeping in the dark. the other after image looked differently, and took longer to go away. this one is black image of my veins and quickly goes away.

the only thing similar i can find is, Purkinje tree, entoptic phenomena. I can be on my computer, cover my eye for a few seconds and see the same image i see when i wake up.

I was wondering if this entoptic phenomena could be related to straining my neck or related to starting to sleep in the dark and not being exposed to bright light 24/7.

Trauma such as a concussion can make the eyes more sensitive to light and glare. On the other hand when people start looking for entopic phenomena they become more aware of them and see them more often than we they are "non-attentive"
