Can iritis be cause by  cat scracthes?  If so, what is it called? And should my 4yr old son be tested for it.  And if it showes up postive, what is to be done about it? Nothing is how I understand it.

amy-
there is a disease called cat scratch fever caused by a bacteria that can cause iritis ( inflammation in front of the eye )  it is pretty uncommon though- my advice  is to have your son seen by an ophthalmologist for a thorough exam, if he does have iritis cat scratch is an unlikely cause   good luck
