Cataract Surgeon - Experience with Lens Brand

My father is about to undergo cataract surgery at the end of this month.  His doctor recommended, and he agreed, to go with Crystalens.  So far so good (though now that I've done my own multifocal research, I'm considering trying to talk him into monofocals).  

That said, his surgeon's apparently done tons of cataract surgeries, but does not have significant/extensive/any (not quite sure the extent of this deficiency) experience implanting Crystalens.  His surgeon claims that cataract surgery is cataract surgery is cataract surgery, so his experience with cataract surgery using other lenses is as good as if he's been implanting Crystalens all this time.

I believe that the Crystalens gives the best results.  However,  it is the most difficulty of all the presbyopic IOLs to implant.  Also, the post operative management (where most doctors do not spend the time) is very important.  A small amount of refractive error can be adjusted during the early post operative period that decrease the amount of LASIK/PRK enhancements.  Also, as with all presbyopic IOLs, astigmatism management is critical.

IMHO it is very important to have crystalens implanted by an experienced crystalens surgeon.

The pseudo acommodating issues of crystalens are different from every other IOL.
