Cataract Surgeons

I am have decided to proceed with cataract surgery and considering surgeons in my area.  I am fortunate to be in an area with apparently several well qualified surgeons (i.e. Raleigh/Durham, NC).  I am considering two surgeons who appear very experienced with high creditials (e.g., Fellows of the AAO).  One surgeon was suggested by my retina specialist.  It seems that my decision may be  based more on comfort level with one of the surgeons rather than experience at this point.  However, my situation is higher risk than typical due to high myopia. I would like any thoughts you may have about this approach.  Also, if you have any specific recommendations for surgeons in this area I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for your attention.

It sounds like you have two winners if both surgeons are experienced and have excellent credentials.  Why not consult both and get their recommendations for you, and then make a decision?
